       Continuity -  Makes sure things are continuous 

       Continuity Editing -
       180 degree rule- To orientate the viewer, to establish placement of characters 
       Match on action (match cuts) - 
       Shot reverse shot -  When a shot goes continuously back and forth between two shots
       Eye-line match -  We see eyes looking at something , next shot is the object
       Cross cutting - The quick cutting from sone scene to another 
       Insert shot - 


 
Editing - The stage in the film making process in which sound and images are organised to  construct an overall narrative.  It is how a film maker puts together and considers cuts and applies transitions , special effects etc. to an audience.
