Track and Dolly

The camera dolly may be used as a shooting platform on any surface but is often raised onto a track, to create smooth movement on a horizontal axis known as a tracking shot. advantage this has over handheld is that it h holds the ability to be able to record moving images allowing the footage to be smooth and consistent

Steadi- cam 

a lightweight mounting for a film camera which keeps it steady for filming when handheld or moving.   the advantages of a steadi-cam is that it is able to track the movement of an actor whist being handheld and allowing the footage shot to be stable.

Tripod 

a three-legged stand for supporting a camera or other apparatus. The advantage of this piece of recording equipment is that it keeps the camera stable and allows the footage to appear to be realistic and captures a still scene and the disadvantage is that it cannot easily be used to track moving footage.  

H1N 

the H1 recorder is a portable compact recording device that is used ti record sounds professionally. The advantages over camera sound recording is that it is able to record more precise sounds and the audio quality seems better and is not 'hissy'. 

Shotgun microphone
A shotgun microphone is a highly directional microphonethat must be pointed directly at its target sound source for proper recording. Shotgun microphones use unidirectional microphones to achieve this high beam of concentration on the sound source to record the sound. The advantages of this equipment is that it is highly directional and is able to concentrate on the source of the sound usually is facing downwards.
