From this table we are able to learn that 32% of the entire British population would take interest in watching a film that comes from the horror genre meanwhile 53% of people would take an interest in the thriller genre. We are also able to read from this table that this genre is especially popular within diverse communities and audiences for example we learn that the black African Caribbean community is responsible for 61% of those who watch films from the thriller genre. We also can observe that the LGBT+ community is responsible for more than half of the audience for horror films therefore showing us that overall our film opening is more likely to appeal to minority groups and less to the general population.
From this graph we can see that 15% of respondent would class horror as their favourite genre and 26% would say that thriller is their favourite genre of film meaning that by combining these genres we are able to widen our target audiences and have 41% of the general population who will take an interest in watching our film opening.
From this graph we can learn that the thriller genre that leaves audiences on 'the edge of their seat" takes up more than 50% of the types of film that people are wishing to watch and will enjoy watching our film opening.
